Check out this amazing story, Noles:
“My daughter is a freshman at FSU. Last night she traveled back to FSU after a wonderful week at home during spring break. She took a taxi from Tallahassee Airport and arrived at Dorman Hall a little before midnight. She paid the taxi driver and headed into Dorman. It was then that she realized that she didn’t have her wallet. She ran outside immediately, but the taxi driver was long gone. She called us and was extremely upset. Honestly, I was a little relieved to hear that she was upset about the lost wallet and that she was physically ok. We spent the early part of the morning canceling her credit card and ATM bank cards. We asked her to call the FSU Police Department and file a report. We know that it is important to have that police report in cases of identity fraud. Officer M. Paluszela came to Dorman and took her information. I want to point out that he was incredibly kind to my 18 year old, teary eyed daughter, who was far from home and in need of someone to help her. This morning she made a list of the things that she needed to do. Order new credit and debit cards, healthcare cards, AAA card, and car insurance and vehicle registration cards. Go to Sun Trust Bank and try and get some money out of her account, without any ID. Order and pay for a new drivers license, FSU ID, dorm key and UPS mailbox key. And… go to class! As she was walking out of Dorman, with her to-do list in hand, she got an email that there was a package for her at the front desk. Yep, you guessed it. Her wallet, complete with all her credit and debit cards, a couple of retail store & restaurant gift cards and $250 cash was turned in and waiting for her! Unfortunately, the FSU student that turned in her wallet did not leave his name. We would love to thank this student and share this story with his parents. What an incredible man they have raised. Our daughter has told us that southern boys are gentlemen, this sure does validate that sentiment!I know that you may hear a lot of the negatives surrounding college student behavior. I hope this story brightens your day. Please share it with your colleagues. We all need a little reminder every now and then of all the “good” that surrounds us! And, PLEASE let us know, if by some strange chance, you are able to solve the mystery of the kind student who returned our daughter’s wallet.
Thanks so much,

In the words of Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Mary Coburn, “Who is the student who found the wallet near Dorman? You are a True Seminole.”
“didn’t notice the iPhone app update, and now I’m really not impressed. Just as bad as the iPad app. So like the iPad app. It was deleted too. Failure both times GG. ”
